Drukkerij Raddraaier b.v. Supply Specifications
The prepress division is prepared for the following programs and files. We utilize:
PDF Document
Use only CMYK or PMS colours in the design file (remove non-used PMS colours or convert these into CMYK).
Include cut lines and a minimum bleed of 3 mm.
Visual material in the file at a minimum of 300 dpi at 100%.
Lines (bitmap) 1,200 dpi at 100%.
Insert all applied fonts.
Supply as Certified PDF (PDF/X-1a:2001).
Adobe InDesign up to and including version CS6
Use images at a minimum of 300 dpi at 100% (unless it cannot be done otherwise, however, quality may decrease).
Use only CMYK or PMS colours in the design file (remove non-used PMS colours or convert these into CMYK).
Include complete fonts (*.TTF / *.OTF).
Enclose all used images.
Tip-off: InDesign offers the facility for forming a package, which will collect all used fonts and images. Please press keys: Alt+Shift+Ctrl+P.
QuarkXpress up to and including version 6.5 (Mac)
Enclose all fonts (*.TTF / *.OTF) and all images.
Tip-off: Quark offers the function ‘collect for service office’ which will automatically collect all employed fonts and images.
Adobe Illustrator up to and including version CS5
Convert typefaces into font outlines, or supply the used fonts in addition.
Use only CMYK of PMS colours (RGB files will be converted automatically into CMYK, which will result in deviation in colour.
Adobe Photoshop up to and including version CS5
Use images of at least 300 dpi.
Please insert into document at 100%.
Use only CMYK or PMS colours.
You may convert RGB files yourself, or if that should turn out to be a problem, we will convert these into CMYK for you after consulting with our Order Supervisor.
Should you prefer to convert the RGB files yourself, please send us an e-mail to prepress@raddraaier.nl and ask for the suitable profile.
We will also be pleased to adapt your graphics to duotone and tritone.
In the case that you have files in different formats, please do not hesitate to contact us and our prepress division will be only happy to inform you on the various possibilities.
After we will adapt the supplied file we always make a plot of the imposition scheme. The client himself or we will check by means of the prints supplied by client. That choice we will leave to the client to make.
